    Born in Macon, Tenn., Mr. Parrott was a lifelong Plainfield resident. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1944 and was honorably discharged.

    He was employed with Volco Brass & Copper Co., of Kenilworth for 32 years. Mr. Parrott was assistant pastor of the Iselin Community Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Surviving are his wife, Amie Parrott; two daughters, Eval Parrott and Debra Sellers, both of Plainfield.

    Arrangements are by the Plinton Funeral Home of Westfield. There will be no visitation.

       18 M    iii. William Lee Parrott was born on 18 Dec 1952 in New Jersey and died on 29 Jun 2013 in Elizabethton, Carter Co., Tennessee, at age 60.

    Notes: Police see answers in bicycle death
    Elizabethton pollce are still trying to solve the riddle of what caused a city man to lose control of his motorized bicycle Saturday and be thrown over the edge of a bridge to his death.

    Police identified the man who plunged to his death as 60-year-old William Lee Parrott Sr. of 431 W. G St., apartment 3. As first reported Saturday at starhq.com, police said Parrott's body was found by officers at approximately 12:46 p.m. Saturday lying face down on the railroad grade under the Highway 67 bridge near the intersection of G Street, his bicycle still on the road above.

    Authorities don't believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in his death, but said he was apparently not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The EPD's Specialized Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the incident.

    Jerry's zest for life was only matched by his love for dancing and his cherished family. His passion for dancing illuminated every room he entered, infusing each moment with rhythm and laughter adorned in his finest clothing, bedecked with jewelry, and always sporting his beloved cowboy hats and boots. But beyond the dance floor, Jerry was a beacon of love and connection, sharing an extraordinary bond with his nieces and nephew. Family gatherings were transformed into unforgettable celebrations, where Jerry effortlessly became the life of the party, spreading warmth and happiness to all. One of Jerry's favorite places to visit was Dave & Buster's, where he relished the fusion of arcade games and sports, bringing joy to his competitive spirit. Though Jerry carried the weight of a broken heart in his final days after the loss of his beloved partner whom he fondly called "Baby Doll" just three months prior, his passing marks a reunion of two souls destined to be together. Though his dance may have ended here on earth, the melodies of his spirit and the echoes of his laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those touched by his radiant presence.

    Jerry "Malik" Parrott suddenly departed this life on May 6, 2024, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, at age 57. He was predeceased by his father, Henry Parrott; his brothers, Baby Boy Parrott, Frank Parrott, John Henry Parrott, and William Parrott; his sisters, Bernice Parrott, Mary Louise Lewis, and Jeannie Hill; and his devoted companion, Donna Marie Johnson.

    Notes: District Elder Jimmy B. Parrott, 60, entered eternal life Thursday February 24, 2011 in South Jersey Health Care Regional Medical Center in Vineland, NJ.

    Born in Rossville, Tenn., he lived in Plainfield, NJ where he was a 1969 graduate of Plainfield High School. He attended Middlesex County College from 1969-1971 and later moved to Piscataway, NJ where he lived 14 years. At the time of his death, he lived in Vineland, NJ the last 22 years. Elder Parrott was employed as a truck driver with Serra Sausage, LLC in Vineland.

    Elder Parrott was the pastor of Greater Evangelistic Temple COOLJC in Vineland. His church auxiliaries include the following: Brotherhood and Deacon Board, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Young Adult Choir Member, Saturday Morning Prayer Committee, Evangelical Diocese, Sunday School Superintendent, Evangelical Diocese Executive Secretary and the Evangelical Diocese Advisor to the Youth Departments.

    He was predeceased by two brothers John and Elbert Parrott and a sister Betty Jean Walton.

    He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Ruby Parrott; a son Roger Eugene Parrott of Voorhees, NJ; a daughter Ebony Nicole (Min. Justin) Postell of Lakewood, NJ; four granddaughters Jasmine Alicia, Nylah Simone, Jacynda Denise and Selena Marie; eight sisters Marie Davis, Ruby Bentley (Melvin Sr.), Cora Williams, Annie Parrott-Steward (Edward), Rosie Quarles (Alfred), Mary Owens, Deloris Harris (Ronnie) and Rosemary Cox; six brothers in law; three sisters in law and a host of other relatives and friends.

    John Henry was a lifelong resident of Plainfield, where he resided with his loving wife, Gail Parrott of 53 years of marriage. From their union the late John H. Parrott Jr. was born; now father and son are together in eternal life. John Henry served in the U.S. Army for many years and retired from JB Hunt in 2014 after 25 years of service. John's passion was to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles (especially riding with his son). Now they both can ride on together into the sunset.

    John Henry is survived by his loving wife, Gail Parrott, daughter-in-law, Evelyn Gonzalez-Parrott, his grandchildren Jaylin and Jayson Parrott. She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and taking bus rides with her friends to different outings.



    Gail is survived by her daughter-in-law, Evelyn Gonzalez-Parrott, her grandchildren Jaylin and Jayson Parrott. Her niece Erika, Brothers: Mark,Dennis and her Sister: Debbie and a host of family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends which she held dearly in her heart.

    Gail will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a loving, caring and compassionate person.     23. John Henry Parrott III (John Henry Jr.3, Henry Frank2, Pomp1) was born on 7 Jul 1972 in Rahway, Union Co., New Jersey and died on 2 Sep 2012 in Edison, Middlesex Co., New Jersey, at age 40.

    Notes: John Henry Parrott, Jr., age 41, of Plainfield, NJ, died on Sunday September 2, 2012, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Born in Rahway, NJ, John was a lifelong Plainfield resident. Mr. Parrott worked as a signal technician for the City of Plainfield. John was a member of Vessels of Honor Worship Ministries in Elizabeth, NJ.

    He enjoyed motorcycles and especially loved riding with his father. John also enjoyed fishing, trains and cars. His greatest love was spending time with his wife and children.

    Surviving are his beloved wife, Evelyn Gonzalez-Parrott; his sons Jaylin E. and Jayson R. Parrott; his parents, John H. Parrott, Sr. and Gail, and his grandmother, Rose Mae Parrott. He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 12 noon at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield, NJ 07060. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 to 12 noon. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ.
